Our Christmas Tree 2001

There are over 150 mouth blown glass ornaments on this tree. Santas, Snowmen, Wooden Soldiers, Gingerbread Men, Teddy Bears, Cats, Puppies, Angels, Fruits, Pinecones, Churches, Elves and many more different figurines. Just about all of the ornaments were made in Poland. A few of them are made in Germany and one was made in Italy. I have been collecting these ornaments for about 10 years now. They remind me of the ones my grandmother had on her tree.

These are some of the ornaments on the top of the tree. The largest  ones are up to 6 inches in height and  need the strong stiff branches to hold them in place. It's not easy getting each one to hang properly and securely.

The pink clock is one of my favorite ornaments. I always hang the strawberry directly above it. It reminds me of the old rock group  from the 60's, Strawberry Alarm Clock. The ornament on the right is Clara from the Nutcracker. There is a matching Mouse King, Nutcracker and Uncle Drosselmier. I found these treasures in a catalog.
